Airports Sacco Ltd today the 15th of June, 2012 launch its Front Office Services Activity (FOSA) on at JKIA Cargo Terminal. The banking facility was officially opened by the Co–operative Secretary Mr. Daniel Maanzo E.B.S. from the Ministry of Cooperative Development and Marketing who was accompanied by the Managing Director KAA Eng. Stephen Gichuki, and other senior officials from the Ministry.

The launch which was well attended by KAA staff, airport stakeholders and other Sacco executives from within the airport, also saw the presentation of title deeds to staff who had completed paying for their plots in Kaputiei. In his keynote address the Managing Director Eng. Stephen Gichuki urged the staff to take advantage of the loans and housing scheme, to purchase their own homes.

He said “ I have emphasized many times to the staff that owning a house should be a priority. It does not have to be magnificent, but a place you can rest assured nobody will knock on the door asking for rent.

With the launch of FOSA, the Airport Sacco has broken new grounds through innovative and revolutionary products that are not only suitable for KAA employees but also for airport staff and members of other Sacco’s. FOSA not only offers savings and credit facilities, but also money transfers and custodies of valued documents like title deeds.

Other accounts offered are: Saloh account:–which make it easier for the staffs to access their salaries much earlier than those with other banks, as salaries are forwarded to accounts once they receive an updated payroll. Tujijenge account: – for those who have companies or small businesses. Jipange account: – for ordinary savers. Umoja account: – a tailor made product for individuals who operate merry go round or Chama. Fixed deposit account: – which earns 3% interest per annum on minimum deposit of KSH. 50,000 for a minimum duration of 3 months.

The event ended on a high note with guests opening FOSA accounts so as to take advantage of the FOSA Banking services.
